Escape to Florida with us for a relaxing motor coach trip to Clearwater Beach and the coastal town of Jensen Beach on Hutchinson Island. Planned and optional activities plus ample leisure time will allow you to explore at your own pace. No passport required for this tour, just a desire to leave the cold and snow for 14 days!

Eight breakfasts, two luncheons and four dinners including an evening sightseeing dinner cruise.

Admission to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park featuring an underwater theatre and a riverboat cruise.

Admission to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park to view Manatees, fresh and saltwater fish, whopping cranes, Florida panthers and alligators.

Admission to the Sterling Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island. Featuring a collection of vintage cars, trucks, bicycles and boats; baseball memorabilia, an art gallery and exhibits of Elliott's inventions.

Admission to the House of Refuge listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest structure in Martin County.

Visit to Tarpon Springs famous for the historic sponge-diving industry. Time for shopping and exploring the "Sponge Docks" area featuring natural sponges, shops, bakeries and restaurants.

Services of a Koning DayTours Tour Director throughout the trip.

Day 1 – An early morning departure from Rochester will bring us to Fredericksburg, Virginia in the late afternoon. Accommodations for the night will be at the Fredericksburg Hospitality House and dinner will be "on your own" at one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 2 – After breakfast and hotel check-out we will travel south to Santee, South Carolina for the night. Accommodations will be at the full-service Best Western Hotel. Dinner will "on your own" tonight. (Breakfast included)

Day 3 – Continuing south today we travel through Georgia and into the state of Florida arriving in Clearwater Beach in the late afternoon. Accommodations for the next five nights will be at Shepard's Beach Resort featuring all ocean view rooms with a balcony, microwave and fridge! (Breakfast & Lunch included)

Day 4 – Today we will transport you to the local supermarket to stock up on some necessities, beverages, snacks and items for breakfast and lunches. Tonight dinner is included at a local popular restaurant (Dinner included)

Day 5– A full day excursion to Weeki Washee Springs State Park will include animal shows, "Mermaid" performances, a river boat cruise and an opportunity to enjoy the white-sand beach.

Day 6 – An optional trip to nearby Tarpon Springs is planned today. This evening a narrated dinner cruise is planned aboard the Starlight Magic dining yacht. (Dinner included)

Day 7 – Today we will travel to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where the freshwater spring temperature is constantly 72 F. View freshwater and saltwater fish through the windows of the floating observatory and enjoy a wildlife encounter featuring Manatees, alligators and hippos!
Pontoon boats and trams shuttle throughout the park.

Day 8 – Following check-out from Shepard's Resort we will travel across central Florida to the eastern coast of the state. A unique luncheon stop is included today en route to Hutchinson Island. Accommodations for the next three nights will be at the oceanfront Courtyard by Marriott at Jensen Beach on Hutchinson Island. Complimentary WiFi, a microwave and fridge in every room and oceanfront rooms for all! (Lunch included)

Day 9 – Following breakfast at the hotel we will travel to nearby Ft. Pierce to visit the popular Saturday morning open market. The remainder of the day you are free to enjoy the beach, the hotel amenities and just relax. Arrangements will be made to attend Mass at a local church on either Saturday evening or Sunday morning. (Breakfast included)

Day 10- Sleep in this morning as no activities are planned until the afternoon. We will travel to nearby Stuart to visit the Elliott Museum featuring a collection of memorabilia where there is something for everyone! We will tour the House of Refuge at Gilbert's Bar,the restored 1876 home that is the county's oldest building. Dinner tonight will be at a popular restaurant in Stuart's historic downtown area. (Breakfast & Dinner included)

Day 11 – Following breakfast you have a day at leisure to enjoy the warm weather before departing Florida. (Breakfast included)

Day 12 – After breakfast and hotel check-out we will depart Hutchinson Island and Florida traveling to Columbia, South Carolina. Accommodations for tonight will be at the Hilton Garden Inn where you may have dinner (on your own) right at the hotel. (Breakfast included)

Day 13 – Today is a travel day so plan to rest as we travel north en route to Winchester, Virginia. Overnight accommodations and a "farewell" dinner will be at the beautifully restored George Washington Hotel located in the historic Old Town district.

Day 14 – Following breakfast and hotel check-out we continue north en route to Rochester.
Anticipated arrival is in the late afternoon, filled with wonderful memories of our Florida Getaway! (Breakfast included)

Know Before You Go:

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT – A $500.00 per person deposit must accompany your reservation. This includes a $25.00 per person non-refundable processing fee in the event of your cancellation at any time. FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2017.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY – A full refund will be given (less the non-refundable processing fee) for cancellations received prior to the final payment date. Cancellations received after the final payment date will be subject to the following penalties:

Up to 60 days prior to departure...................................Full refund
(Minus the processing fee)

59 – 44 days prior to departure...........................25% of the trip total

43 – 28 days prior to departure..........................50% of the trip total

27 – 15 days prior to departure..........................75% of the trip total

14 days to day of departure..........................................No refund

INSURANCE – Purchase of travel insurance for cancellation/interruption due to covered reasons is not required but is highly recommended to protect your travel investment. Should you wish to purchase travel insurance, please contact the Koning DayTours office.
